The Minnesota Timberwolves' 2019-20 home opener is against none other than Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.

It will be Butler’s second game against the Timberwolves at Target Center since being traded last season. The four-time All-Star was viciously booed when he came back to Minnesota as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Timberwolves fans are going to boo Butler every time he touches the ball again. Butler, of course, requested a trade from the Timberwolves last season and didn't have the best relationship with All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns. The Timberwolves traded Butler to the Sixers for Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Jerryd Bayless.

This offseason, Minnesota traded Saric and the No. 11 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft to the Phoenix Suns for Jarrett Culver.

Knowing Butler, he's going to enjoy this game. The guy loves hostile environments. Butler was smiling all game last season when he was getting booed by Timberwolves fans. Heck, Jimmy was even laughing when he was getting booed by the fans when he was still with the team after his trade request went public and he did controversial interview with ESPN.

The fans at Target Center will be fired up. It's up to Towns and fellow max contract guy Andrew Wiggins to deliver a win against Butler and the Heat.
