Anthony Edwards was fired up after the Minnesota Timberwolves emerged with a 109-104 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers during Tuesday's Play-In showdown. Edwards dropped a team-high 30 points as he led the Timberwolves to a massive win over LA to secure the seventh seed in the West.

After the game, Edwards went on IG Live and he revealed the five-word message he got from Timberwolves teammate Patrick Beverley right before the contest. According to Edwards, this was the “best advice in the world:”

“Hey, I swear to God I love this n—a right here, man,” Edwards said as he turned the camera to Beverley. “N—a said today, ‘It's your show, young fella. It's your show, young fella.'”

Edwards absolutely heeded Beverley's call on Tuesday as he led the Timberwolves to a win despite the fact that cornerstone big man Karl-Anthony Towns ended up being a non-factor in the game due to foul trouble.

For his part, Beverley responded by saying how proud he was of Edwards for stepping up to the plate.

Next up are Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. Edwards is clearly hyped for that one and he's already marked down his calendar for Game 1 on Saturday.
