The Minnesota Timberwolves made easy work of a depleted Los Angeles Lakers side on Friday, 110-92. There was a lot of back-and-forth between the players throughout the contest and unsurprisingly, one of the stand-out moments had to involve Wolves guard Patrick Beverley.

Beverley is one of the most intense competitors in the NBA today and he showed just that in the second quarter against the Lakers. After dominating LA veteran Rajon Rondo in the post, Beverley hit him with some savagery that earned the Wolves guard a technical foul (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

PatBev is obviously not the tallest player in the league, but he definitely had the better of Rondo in this particular play. Beverley showcased his strength by backing down Rondo down low to score an easy deuce. After the play, the feisty Timberwolves guard made sure to let Rondo know what was up.

Beverley knew exactly what he was doing here and he likely knew that a technical foul was coming. It didn't matter to him much, though, and by the way he walked away victoriously from the play, it even feels like he wanted to get that tech. PatBev is by no means a star and he's not the type who fills the box score every single night. However, there's no denying that the intangibles he brings to the table for the Timberwolves are immeasurable.
