Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley is widely considered as one of the top defenders in the game today. So much so, that there have been calls for Pat Bev to be in contention for the Defensive Player of the Year title.

Be that as it may, the NBA snubbed Beverley for the DPOY trophy this past season yet again. The Timberwolves guard wasn't happy about it and he is now out on a mission to stake his claim. This is exactly why Pat Bev recently decided to showcase his elite defensive prowess — on a bunch of school kids (h/t Overtime on Twitter):

It's hilarious how the Timberwolves stud viciously swatted away a shot attempt by a boy that looks like he's not even 7-years-old yet. Beverley then flexed his handles on the succeeding play as he effortlessly drove to the basket against no less than four defenders. Too bad they were all a bunch of young school kids who were just trying their best against a seasoned NBA pro.

What we can say for sure is that Patrick Beverley is a no mercy, tough love kind of guy. The Timberwolves veteran was not giving these kids any latitude here and the result was undeniably hilarious.
