The Minnesota Timberwolves might have crossed the line after sending out an insensitive tweet right after Brooklyn Nets guard Caris LeVert's gruesome injury.

At halftime, the Timberwolves' Twitter account sent out the tweet below. It has since been deleted but was captured by Twitter user @streethistory.

In the closing seconds of the second quarter, LeVert attempted a chase-down block on Minnesota rookie Josh Okogie. Unfortunately, not only did LeVert fail to swat it, but he landed awkwardly on his right leg. He managed to look at his right leg before lying back down and grimacing in pain before he was stretchered out.

It was a sad moment not just for Caris LeVert and his team, but for the whole league. NBA players immediately flocked to Twitter to share their support for LeVert, who's developing into one of the Nets' important pillars.

In 13 games as part of the starting line up, the 20th overall pick in the 2016 Draft averaged 19.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field.

Though it's hard to assume that the Timberwolves were hitting on Caris LeVert, they certainly had the quick presence of mind to delete the tweet for fear of offending him and his team. It was definitely the right thing to do since competition should be put aside when a player goes down.
