The Minnesota Timberwolves get some more unfortunate Covid-19 news as they have now placed D'Angelo Russell into the league's health and safety protocols. He's the eighth player to enter for Minnesota who now has Russell, Karl Anthony-Towns, Anthony Edwards, and Patrick Beverley in the protocols.

The Timberwolves are having a decent season so far. They are only 15-17 but they do have a spot in the play-in game at the moment. There have been many bright spots of this team's season. They've dealt with some unfortunate injuries and also had a long losing streak which is the main reason why they have 17 losses this year. The Timberwolves have shown when everybody is healthy and things are clicking, that they could be a team that could make some problems in the Western Conference. If they can stay healthy for the remainder of the season after all the Covid-19 issues, they could be a team that sneaks into the six or seven seed in the Western Conference.

D'Angelo Russell on the season is playing impressive basketball once again as he's averaging 18.7 points per game and 6.7 assists. He has been one of the many bright spots for this young Minnesota team and once he's out of the protocols, he's going to look to play at the same high level that he was playing at before entering the protocols.

The Timberwolves have an unfortunate schedule coming up including two back-to-backs in their next five games.
