Minnesota Timberwolves guard Tyus Jones suffered a high left ankle sprain in the team's 149-107 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

Just one night after his brother, and Duke Blue Devils guard Tre Jones left a valiant matchup against Syracuse with a devastating shoulder injury, Tyus Jones exited in the third quarter against the 76ers.

After appearing in all 82 games for the Timberwolves last season, it looks like Jones will be poised to miss some time.

Though the injury doesn't seem to be all that severe, it will be strange for the team to be without him even for a brief stretch of games. He has done a fantastic job keeping himself healthy since being the No. 24 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

In 42 games this year for Minnesota, he is averaging a career-best 5.5 points and 4.0 assists while playing 21 minutes per night for the team.

Jones pieced together just three points on 1-of-7 shooting prior to the injury, while Jimmy Butler and the Sixers couldn't be contained, putting up 83 points in the first half.

It should be decided in the coming days whether Tyus Jones can get himself ready for the Timberwolves' next matchup against the 25-20 San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
