Kevin Garnett is undoubtedly one of the best players the Minnesota Timberwolves ever had the privilege of drafting. Zach LaVine personally witnessed how great a player Garnett was during his second run with the Timberwolves at the end of his career.

The Chicago Bulls guard squared up against Paul Pierce for the NBA's HORSE competition. Since they both experienced playing with KG, their mid-game banter circled around Garnett at one point. Pierce was interested to know how Garnett was like as a teammate from a young player's perspective.

As shown in a video by NBA on ESPN, LaVine was mesmerized by the amount of work Garnett was putting in at the ripe old age of 40. Garnett was a terrific role model for the young Timberwolves.

LaVine always saw himself as a hard worker and came to the gym in order to do some extra work. He was surprised when he was Garnett there, doing sprints. For a player as accomplished as Garnett to still be hungry at that point of his career was an eye-opener for LaVine.

He also revealed that Garnett was his vet during his rookie campaign. Since KG must have taught him everything he knew because he's currently balling for the Bulls. He's easily Chicago's best player this season with an average of 25.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists a game, and 1.5 steals a game. He's become the key figure for a Bulls team that is trying to get back to their glory days.

Garnett was a player with a small impact on the Wolves during his final two seasons there, but his intensity and approach to the game were unmatched. He positively affected LaVine, and you can also see glimpses of his game in Karl-Anthony Towns. To say that he deserves his All-Star enshrinement is an understatement.
