Seeing the word “frustrated” next to Karl-Anthony Towns name in any news article is not something Minnesota Timberwolves fans would love to see. That's exactly the situation they're in as the center is reportedly frustrated.

However, fans should backpedal a bit as Towns is reportedly not looking for a way out of the team. According to Zach Harper of The Athletic, the big man is frustrated at the way the Timberwolves have not improved much as a basketball team ever since he was drafted first overall in the 2015 NBA Draft.

However, there's no telling when this slight frustration would eventually break the professional relationship between Towns and the Timberwolves.

League sources told The Athletic there wasn’t anything out there from Towns’ camp about a fracturing relationship or a growing frustration with the Wolves as an organization. They claimed the losing is frustrating for Towns and other members of the organization, but there wasn’t any reason to believe this will became a long-term issue… yet.

It's no secret to everyone that Karl-Anthony Towns wants to play with D'Angelo Russell and would like for that to happen sooner rather than later. While D-Lo is currently playing for the Golden State Warriors, it's unlikely that they'll get a decent trade package that will send Russell to the Timberwolves. However, it's very likely that Towns and Russell might team up in Golden State.

Whether Towns spends his entire career in the Twin Cities will depend on how well the Timberwolves front office surrounds him with talent. It may or may not be with Russell, but they need to find all of the right talents to help him make a deep playoff run.

If they fail to do that, they could say goodbye to him as he shops himself around to other NBA teams.
