Youth and athleticism are showcased night in and night out by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Andrew Wiggins is the latest member of the rising group to flex his skills. The 22-year-old is fresh off serving another facial, adding one to his already long list of victims.

The dunk came in the opening quarter of Saturday’s matchup with the visiting Toronto Raptors, who entered with great momentum and were looking to run over the hosts. The Timberwolves, on the other hand, came in having lost two-straight games.

Wolves guard Shabazz Muhammad drove to the right side of the rim and was trapped by three defenders, but was able to recover when he spotted Wiggins in the corner and made a quick pass. Wiggins then used his quick first step to blow by his man, DeMar DeRozan, who was out of position to defend since he was one the three Raptors who surrounded Muhammad. After easing past the first wave, Wiggins quickly made the elevation and threw a nasty slam right down Jakob Poeltl's throat — the second-year Raptor clearly had no chance of stopping the aggressive surge. The two met at the rim for a second time later in the half, with Poeltl being on the wrong end once again.

Along with providing the play of the game, Wiggins also boasted one of his best games this season. He tallied a season-high 29 points in a performance that could possibly be the confidence booster that he needs. Wiggins is currently having a rather shaky 2017-18 campaign for the Timberwolves. His scoring average is down by six points from last year, and he's also compiling career-lows in assists and shooting percentages from the field and the free throw line.
