The Minnesota Timberwolves played an outstanding game on Monday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, dominating their opponent from start to finish, en route to a huge 127-99 victory. Their combination of stifling defense, led by Jimmy Butler, coupled with some hot-shooting, frustrated the defending Eastern Conference champions, including Isaiah Thomas, who was slapped with a Flagrant 2 foul on Andrew Wiggins in the third quarter after hitting him near the neck and jaw area.

While the play was being reviewed by the referees, the former number one overall pick went to their bench and had a chat with Butler. The All-Star swingman wanted to make sure that Wiggins was fine after the hit so Butler hilariously checked his pulse and acted like the team's new physician.

Wiggins was able to return to the game and he played the remainder of the quarter. He finished with an impressive stat line of 25 points, on 9-of-19 shooting from the field, to go along with six rebounds and one assist. He did not appear to be suffering from any pain from the hit he received and he was even seen smiling at times when the Timberwolves extended their lead to 41 points in the quarter.

Some tests could still be done on Wiggins, especially with the NBA and their teams always having their players' safety first in mind. The Timberwolves will have the day off on Tuesday before returning to action on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It will be a huge challenge for Wiggins as the wing pairing of Carmelo Anthony and Paul George is arguably one of the best in the league.
