Tennessee Titans star wide receiver A.J. Brown is convinced the NFL has some sort of vendetta against him.

Brown tweeted Tuesday he has already been the subject of three separate drug tests administered by the league:

“NFL will y’all please leave me alone with these drug test,” Brown tweeted. “3rd one this off-season. I don’t even drink protein milk. Chill on me”

Brown has been one of the most explosive playmakers in football in each of the past two seasons for the Titans. The former second-round pick had 1,051 yards receiving and averaged 20.2 yards per reception in 2019 before nabbing 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2020.

Despite a relative lack of size (6'0″), Brown's tremendous strength and speed make him a matchup nightmare for opposing secondaries. He has even shown the capability to break big runs on end-arounds.

Is the NFL overly skeptical of Brown's physical abilities? The Titans wideout sure seems to think so.

Brown dealt with an ankle injury for the better part of the 2020 season in Tennessee. But he played through the pain and was on the field for 71 percent of the Titans' offensive snaps. Tennessee will surely be relying on their star wideout to be every bit as productive in the passing game going forward.

Tennessee's offense has terrific balance, though the Titans make a point of giving heavy volume to running back Derrick Henry. That balance will be tested a bit after tight end Jonnu Smith departed in free agency.

The Titans will look for Brown and Co. to soak up a bit of the production lost in Smith's departure. For his part, Brown hopes the NFL relaxes with the incessant drug testing.
