Tennessee Titans receiver A.J. Brown missed practice on Thursday with a bone bruise in his knee and is expected to miss Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Schefter also reported that Brown could possibly miss the next couple weeks too with his bone bruise.

This is a devastating blow to the Titans, considering he was Ryan Tannehill's No. 1 option on offense. This past week, during Tennessee's 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos, Brown recorded five receptions on eight targets for 39 yards. Despite his awful game on Monday, Brown proved last season that he was the Titans' best receiver. The 23-year-old receiver led the team with 1,051 yards, to go along with eight touchdowns in 16 games.

Titans receiver Corey Davis was also limited during practice on Thursday due to a hamstring injury he suffered on Monday. It's still unknown whether he'll be available to play in Week 2.

With Brown's injury, the Titans have called up Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad. He will be on the active roster for Sunday's game against the Jaguars and is expected to start in place for Brown. The 6-foot-2, 211-pound wide receiver will be joining Davis, Adam Humphries and Kalif Raymond as options in the passing game for Tannehill against the Jaguars on Sunday.

This past summer, Westbrook-Ikhine joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana. During his collegiate career at Indiana, he recorded 144 catches for 2,226 yards and 16 touchdowns. Sunday will be his first NFL game.
