The Tennessee Titans and Cameron Wake have agreed to a three-year deal worth $23 million, according to Adam Schefter.

Wake will enter his 11th season in the NFL and has played for the Miami Dolphins his entire career. Despite being 37 years old, he continues to play at a high level. In 14 starts last season, he produced 36 tackles and six sacks. In his 10 seasons in the NFL, he has 360 tackles, 98 sacks, and 22 forced fumbles.

At 6-3 263lbs, he is too small to play as a defensive end in the Titans' 3-4 scheme. He'll like be the right outside linebacker for the Titans to replace Brian Orakpo, who retired from the NFL. He'll also be a good mentor for 2018 second-round pick Harold Landry, who's expected to replace Derrick Morgan in the starting lineup.

The Titans had only 39 sacks last season, tied for 16th in the NFL. Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey and linebacker Jayon Brown had the most sacks on the team with seven and six respectively. The addition of Wake should help the Titans get better in the pass-rush category.

Their defense also only had 11 interceptions, which ranked 23rd in the NFL last season. If Wake does improve the pass rush, the interception totals for the Titans should only go up.

This was not the only move Tennessee has made so far in the legal tampering period. They signed Roger Saffold to a four-year $44 million contract today and also added wide receiver Adam Humphries from the Buccaneers.
