Some things are bigger than football, and it would be understandable if Corey Davis decided not to suit up for the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night. However, despite his older brother passing away on Wednesday, Davis plans to play versus the Indianapolis Colts, per NFL Network's James Palmer.

Titus Davis, Corey Davis' older brother, was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma, which is a rare form of kidney cancer. Back in July, Titus began undergoing chemotherapy for this rare disease, which typically brings an average survival period of less than one year.

On Wednesday, after a hard-fought battle with cancer, Titus passed away at the age of 27. Before Corey Davis made his name at the wide receiver position, Titus Davis was a star wideout at Central Michigan.

During his collegiate career, Titus broke Central Michigan's program records for receiving touchdowns (37) and receiving yards (3,700). Both of the records were previously held by Antonio Brown.

In addition to his program records, Titus was also the first player in FBS history to log eight or more receiving touchdowns in four different seasons. Despite his success in college, Titus wasn't selected in the 2015 NFL Draft.

However, he would spend time on the practice squad with the Los Angeles Chargers, New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and Buffalo Bills before stepping away from football in 2017. Of course, 2017 was the year Corey was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft out of Western Michigan.

It goes without saying that we send our condolences to Corey Davis and his family at this time. Corey is going to be playing with a heavy heart on Thursday.
