There is apparently an intersection between the Tennessee Titans and the Houston Astros as the latter organization continues their playoff push.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported a bus driver who shuttled the Titans around in Minnesota last weekend also drove for the Astros during their Wild Card series against the Twins.

Pelissero added the Astros have removed the driver amid the Titans' COVID-19 outbreak.

An MLB spokesman also issued a statement on the matter, via Pelissero:

“We are aware of the situation and are comfortable that all of our health and safety protocols have been followed.”

It would be rather unfortunate for the Astros if they have been exposed to COVID-19.

The Titans' weekend matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers was postponed Thursday after yet another player tested positive.

Meanwhile, the Astros completed their sweep of the Twins on Wednesday to advance to the American League Division Series. Houston will play the winner of today's game between the Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox.

The hope—for the MLB as well—is this is an isolated problem.

While positive tests continue to roll in for the Titans, the Vikings announced Wednesday zero of their own players tested positive for COVID-19.

Still, the NFL postponed the Titans-Steelers game out of an abundance of caution, which only seems appropriate given the seriousness of the issue.

Baseball had its own issues with the pandemic, as multiple early outbreaks endangered the integrity of  the 2020 season.

However, it seems the Astros have taken extra steps to ensure limited contact with those who might have been exposed, notably the bus driver in question.
