The 2018 NFL season came to a disappointing end for the Tennessee Titans. It appears tight end Delanie Walker is already looking forward to next season.

Walker missed almost the entire 2018 campaign with an ankle injury. According to Jim Wyatt of the team's official website, he is looking to silence the critics in the 2019 NFL season.

“I don’t really remember how old I am,” Walker said with a smile. “They can judge me all they want. I already know people are going to say it’s going to be a struggle to come back off an injury like this. … They doubted me before and look how far I got. I am just going to prove everybody wrong.

Walker's motivation is certainly understandable. He suffered a broken ankle in the season opener and spent the rest of the year on the sidelines. His presence was sorely missed by a Titans that failed to find its rhythm all season.

Furthermore, his veteran status leaves many to question whether or not he still has enough left in the tank.

Although Walker has been recovering on injured reserve ever since, there is still no clear timetable for his return. He entertained the idea of being available for OTAs, however, it is safe to assume that Tennessee will take a cautious approach with his recovery. After all, they will have much to figure out as they try to revamp the offense this offseason.

Regardless, the three-time Pro Bowler will be a welcome sight for quarterback Marcus Mariota next season.
