The Tennessee Titans were forced to play pretty much the entire 2018 NFL season without Pro Bowl tight end Delanie Walker.

With the veteran pass catcher, unfortunately, encountering a season-ending ankle injury during the team's first game of the regular season against the Miami Dolphins, the Titans ultimately tried to replace Walker with a tight end by committee approach.

Despite his continued production when healthy, Walker certainly isn't getting any younger. Nonetheless, the 34-year-old tight end, who is a 13-year NFL veteran, is ready to prove the doubters wrong once again next season.

“I don’t really remember how old I am,” Walker recently told Turron Davenport of ESPN. “They can judge me all they want. I already know people are going to say it’s going to be a struggle to come back off an injury like this. They doubted me before and look how far I got. I am just going to prove everybody wrong.”

It is also no secret that Walker is a huge part of the Titans' offensive attack while his presence was obviously missed this past season.

“Delanie was such a vital part of the offense, and he caused matchup problems. Teams tried to figure out how to match up against him or maybe even put two guys on him,” Titans starting quarterback Marcus Mariota said of Walker, via ESPN.

In the absence of Walker, the Titans finished the regular season at a nearly even 9-7 while failing to reach the playoffs. Tennessee notably won a playoff game in 2017-18 before encountering a disappointing conclusion to last season.
