The Tennessee Titans may have to wait until Sunday to determine whether they will green light running back DeMarco Murray to play or keep him on the sidelines. It is something worth monitoring, as Murray is a talented back for the Titans, but Derrick Henry has emerged a bit as a slightly more productive back this season.

Still dealing with a hamstring issue, DeMarco Murray was able to practice for the first time this week on Friday, an encouraging sign with regards to his availability on Sunday. That doesn’t mean he’ll be there to help the team against the Cleveland Browns.

In fact, Murray has been given a questionable label by the team, according to Jason Wolf of The Tennessean.

Titans running back DeMarco Murray is officially listed as questionable with a hamstring injury and could be a game-time decision against the Browns on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Murray has been the lead running back for the Titans this season with sophomore Derrick Henry pacing the team in rushing yards with 318 as part of the Titans’ two-headed monster backfield.

Henry’s number was inflated by a huge outing in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts in which he rushed for career highs of 131 yard on 19 carries to help lift the Titans to a 36-22 record, but it’s hard to deny that Henry is rapidly closing the gap between him and the 29-year-old Murray.

On the season, Murray has 313 rushing yards and two touchdowns. This, obviously, still makes him a productive talent and one the Titans would love to have suiting up for them.
