Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is dealing with a strained calf strain according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, and it could sideline him up to two weeks. The injury isn't considered serious, and the team is just trying to be extra cautious with him.

These thoughts echo the same thing that Ian Rapoport said on Sunday during training camp live.

“No one seems worried at all about the status of Derrick Henry despite the fact that he hasn't been out there the last couple days,” Rapoport said on Inside Training Camp Live on Sunday. “This (injury) is described to me as minor and should not be something that either, one, is long term at all or, two, something that keeps him out for a long time.”

After a standout second half for the Titans, the team is expecting big things this coming season for Henry. Last season Henry rushed 215 times for 1,059 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Titans are thin behind Henry with the team carrying Dion Lewis and David Fluellen who has been mostly a special teams contributor. The team also has Jeremy McNichols, Dalyn Dawkins and Alex Barnes who are also battling for a spot on the team.

The only positive about the injury is it will give some of the guys at the end of the depth chart looking to make the roster more time to prove that they deserve one of the 53 spots.

Henry could miss a couple of preseason games but look for him to be ready for the start of the regular season.
