The Tennessee Titans pass rushers got the pleasure of getting to learn from one of the very best to ever do it in Jared Allen this offseason. It was particularly special for defensive end Derrick Morgan as he modeled his game after the former Chiefs and Vikings edge rusher, who ranks 11th on the all-time sacks list.

Even in the short amount of time they spent together, Morgan says his session with Allen was very productive.

“We looked at some film from last year, and he was able to break down things and critique different techniques,” Morgan said per Jim Wyatt of the team's website. “I learned a lot from him in 60 minutes.”

Whatever tips and tricks Morgan took away from his time with Allen could help make his already improved pass-rushing ability even better. Morgan, who had a career-best 9.0 sacks in 2016, followed that up with a team-high 7.5 sacks in just 14 games last season.

The Titans as a team don’t exactly need that much help in terms of getting to opposing quarterbacks. They finished fifth in the league last season with 43 sacks and had 40 in 2016, which was tied for sixth. Apart from Morgan, the likes Brian Orakpo and Jurrell Casey are also tough to contain.

And as if those capable pass rushers weren't enough, they went out and added another one in Harold Landry during the second round of the draft.

The Titans’ talent in that particular part of the game is already pretty strong. And if Allen succeeds in further fine-tuning the technique of Morgan and co., they could potentially be challenging for the title of best pass-rushing team this season when it’s all said and done.
