The Tennessee Titans made a strong addition to their defense this offseason when they brought in pass rusher Vic Beasley from the Atlanta Falcons.

Beasley is coming off one of the best seasons in his career in 2019, a year that saw him rack up eight sacks and two forced fumbles. Both of those numbers are the second-best of his career, behind just 2016 (15.5 sacks and six forced fumbles).

Now with the Titans, there's one problem—he's not with the Titans.

Beasley has been absent from the team, and even worse there's no explanation as to why that is. According to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com, the team's general manager (Jon Robinson) tried to explain the unexplained absence of one of the star pass rushers on the team.

Adam Schefter of ESPN took to Twitter to share Robinson's thoughts as well.

That's not exactly encouraging news for Titans fans. Yes, Beasley apparently said that he understand the absence is unexcused and that he will be reporting to camp in the near future. But that does not actually explain anything.

We still have no answer for why Beasley is absent. And it could be a perfectly valid reason and one that he simply does not want to share with the public. However, you would think he would explain his absence to the general manager of his team. And if that was the case, Robinson likely would have said that Beasley told him, but it's a private matter.

This makes it sound like Vic Beasley is not exactly communicating well with his new team. It's definitely a rocky start to a new relationship that could have been extremely beneficial for both sides.

There is still more than enough to figure things out and get back on track. Unexplained absences are usually not the best way to start a new relationship, though.
