The Tennessee Titans’ season came to a crashing end following their 19-16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC divisional round, which featured a performance to forget from quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Overall, the Titans struggled to get much going over the course of the contest, as Tannehill threw a trio of interceptions and led the offense to a mere one red zone touchdown drive from three trips to this area of the field. Tannehill did find success in connecting with wideouts A.J. Brown and Julio Jones, but he failed to spread the ball around in the late stages of the game.

In speaking during his post-game press conference, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel refused to pinpoint the blame on Tannehill for this defeat.

“It’s never going to be about one person,” Vrabel said.

At the least, the Titans did see multiple standout performers on the defensive side of the ball. The Titans defense recorded nine sacks against Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, which included three from defensive end Jeffery Simmons.

The Titans now have a pivotal offseason ahead. The team does have a bulk of its coveted talents under contract for the 2022 campaign, from Tannehill to Brown. Still, center Ben Jones will be out of a contract in the offseason, while linebacker Harold Landry may be in line for a notable payday as his rookie deal will be up.

It will be noteworthy to see on just which direction Titans general manager Jon Robinson plans to take in the coming months with the team and whether any drastic changes across the board may be in the works.
