Jadeveon Clowney recently spoke out on his future with the Tenessee Titans, with 27-year-old opening the door to a return to the team next season. According to Clowney himself, he is “definitely open” to coming back to Tennesse next term (h/t Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com).

Clowney signed a one-year deal worth $12 million with the Titans prior to the start of last season. He is now set to enter free agency, with a number of teams already being linked to the three-time Pro Bowl defensive end. Based on his statement, however, returning to Tennessee for 2021 has now become a real possibility for the former first overall pick.

Unfortunately, Clowney was only able to suit up in just eight games for the Titans after the former South Carolina standout was forced to undergo season-ending surgery on a major knee problem. He appears to be on the right track in terms of his recovery, and the general belief is that he should be good to go to open the new campaign.

It is worth noting that the Titans are Clowney's third team in the past three years. He could make it four squads in four seasons if he decides to leave Tennessee in the offseason. Clowney seems to have found a home with the Titans, though, and it's no secret that moving from one city to another is never easy. As such, it is now looking likely that Clowney will remain a Titan for 2021. That is, of course, under the presumption that both parties are able to agree on a mutually beneficial deal money-wise.
