Everyone knows how Julio Jones' tenure played out with the Tennessee Titans. He made big plays sporadically, however, his injuries prevented him from playing throughout most of the season. Tennessee's passing attack was abysmal, but the front office has attempted to fix the issue after signing Robert Woods in the 2022 offseason. Even so, the organization might still be traumatized by Jones' lack of production.

According to Pro Football Talk, Robert Woods claims, “I actually feel like they’re kind of holding me back a little bit.” If that's the case, then the Titans are simply being extra cautious with Woods right now. It's still early in the offseason and Tennessee needs him to be fully healthy, especially after trading AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Although Robert Woods feels he's being held back, the veteran wide receiver understands what's at stake. The Titans' receiver continues by stating, “I am trying to get back as well as I can, just doing everything [trainer] Todd Toriscelli has me doing, trying to stay focused and be patient with it. Right now I feel really, really good, getting going, being able to do some things. But really my main goal is to be ready, and be back in tip-top shape. I just want to be ready to go when it is time. It is a long season, and you have to be prepared to go every single game and be prepared to last and be explosive,” per Pro Football Talk.

With that in mind, the Titans are doing everything possible to avoid another disastrous season from a newly acquired wide receiver. Julio Jones provided little help for the offense and Tennessee still managed to earn the top seed of the AFC. With Robert Woods in the picture now, this franchise aims to have him lead the way. If he can build chemistry with Ryan Tannehill, then this offense could make some noise in the 2022 season.
