The Tennessee Titans have a couple of new faces in their receiving corps going into 2019, as they signed Adam Humphries in free agency and selected A.J. Brown in the second round of the NFL Draft.

Obviously, that means that Marcus Mariota will have to build some camaraderie with his new running mates heading into the season, and the quarterback is liking what he is seeing from the new guys thus far:

“I think being out here together and working, they look great,” Mariota said of Humphries and Brown, according to Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official team website. “And as we continue to go forward, as we continue to build the chemistry, hopefully they’ll help our team out.”

The Titans can certainly use some more help in the passing game, as Corey Davis represented their only truly reliable receiver in 2018.

Humphries, who spent the 2018 campaign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hopes to provide that, and he is working hard with Mariota in organized team activities to make that happen:

“Obviously it’s good for the timing with the quarterback,” Humphries said. “You really don’t know the spots, all the ins and outs of what goes on with timing and your relationship with the QB until you’re going against a live defense and seeing multiple looks, so all the stuff we’re doing is good. Each day I am just trying to gain more confidence with this offense and the QBs.”

Tennessee is coming off of a season in which it won nine games and missed out on the playoffs by just one game after losing a winner-take-all matchup to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17.
