The Tennessee Titans find themselves in a bit of a must-win situation in Week 12 versus the Houston Texans. Fortunately, it appears quarterback Marcus Mariota may be good to go by the time Monday night rolls around.

There is plenty of optimism regarding Mariota's status after suffering an elbow injury last week. According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, there is a chance he could play despite the lack of practice:

While Mariota was not doing everything on Wednesday, he was able to take part in practice on a limited basis. He said at a post-practice press conference that his grip of the ball was not affected by the problem and that he feels confident he’d be able to play without a full week of practice.

Mariota did not play the second half of last week's game versus the Indianapolis Colts due to the injury. Head coach Mike Vrabel indicated that he could have returned had there been a situation he was needed, however, the Colts had already built up a formidable lead at that point and likely did not want to risk further injury.

Tennessee's performance on offense was certainly a disappointment after the tremendous strides they had made in previous weeks. Quarterback Blaine Gabbert did not fare much better as the offense mustered up only 10 points in Week 11. Fortunately, the loss has not ruled out any chance of potentially winning the AFC South. A win over the Texans could put them in position for a deciding rematch against the Colts in the season finale.
