The Tennessee Titans have one of the NFL's best running backs in Derrick Henry, but they don't exactly have much behind him.

On Monday, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel provided some insight into what that the club is looking for in a No. 2 back, specifying that Tennessee wants a player who can help on all three downs and in the kicking game. Vrabel also noted that the team wants a halfback who can block, according to Jim Wyatt of the Titans' team website.

The Titans will almost certainly be looking to address this hole in the NFL Draft this week.

Henry is coming off of a monstrous 2019-20 campaign in which he led the league in both rushing yards (1,540) and rushing touchdowns (16) while averaging a robust 5.1 yards per carry.

The 26-year-old was also dominant in the playoffs, totaling 446 yards and a couple of scores in three postseason games en route to leading Tennessee all the way to the AFC Championship Game.

Henry's contract expired at the end of this past season, but the Titans slapped a franchise tag on him for 2020. The two sides have until July to reach a long-term agreement.

Given that Henry also paced the NFL with 303 carries this past season, it would certainly behoove Tennessee to bring in another running back to preserve Henry and take some of the load off of him.

Henry, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by the Titans in the second round (45th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He had his breakout year in 2018 when he registered 1,059 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
