The Tennessee Titans just produced quite the unexpectedly successful season despite suffering a very tough loss at the hands of the highly talented Kansas City Chiefs as a result of Sunday afternoon's AFC Championship Game at the famed Arrowhead Stadium. With the start of the Titans season being held in check for the majority of the AFC clash, Tennessee running back Derrick Henry was unable to continue his postseason success against the Chiefs, which ultimately resulted in a loss for the surging AFC South franchise.

With Henry and company failing to reach the Super Bowl while coming up just one game shy of what could have been a memorable trip to Miami, the NFL's regular-season rushing leader has now failed to reach the Super Bowl in each season since all the way back in 2005. The last NFL regular-season rushing leader to accomplish such a feat was Seattle Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander.

Alexander and the Seahawks did not come away victorious upon reaching the Super Bowl either as the Pittsburgh Steelers went on to steal the show that season.

Henry notably captured this year's regular-season rushing title in Week 17 against the Houston Texans. Henry actually missed the Titans Week 16 matchup against the New Orleans Saints due to a lingering hamstring injury, which means that the former Alabama Crimson Tide standout produced the most rushing yards in the league in only 15 regular-season games. In addition to his 16 rushing touchdowns across those 15 appearances for the Titans, Henry ran for 1,540 yards via the ground game.
