The Tennessee Titans’ season came to an underwhelming finish with their AFC divisional round defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals. The game featured a performance from quarterback Ryan Tannehill that has already been widely criticized across the board, as he threw a trio of interceptions.

Overall, Tannehill saw quite a bit of turnaround on the offensive side of the ball over the course of the campaign. While he featured in all 17 regular season games, the likes of Derrick Henry and Julio Jones missed time due to injury, which saw multiple backup offensive threats earn key snaps in the season.

In speaking during his post-game press conference, Tannehill was asked whether his performance this past season “fell off.” In essence, the veteran quarterback sees room for improvement with his play.

“We will go back and look at everything,” Tannehill said. “It was a lot of things where I think can grow from, learn from, throughout this year in what happened. I felt like we overcame a lot but when you go home in this sort of fashion it leaves a lot to be desired.”

Tannehill threw 14 interceptions in regular season play, which set a new career-high in his ongoing run with the Titans. More so, he posted an 89.6 passer rating — his lowest since his fourth season in the league.

Tannehill now holds a 2-3 playoff record with the Titans, which includes five interceptions thrown in five such games. He is set to hold a $38.6 million cap number for the 2022 campaign.
