Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is set to become a free agent, but he isn't ready to think about that just yet. Tannehill was asked about returning to the Titans after the game and said he loves the team, but it's something he will need to think about during the offseason.

On Sunday, all that was on his mind was how close the Titans were to reaching the NFL's ultimate goal.

“I’ll have to take a step back and look at things here in the offseason,” Tannehill said, via Erik Bacharach of the Tennessean. “Obviously, I love this team. I love what this team was able to accomplish. I have a lot of love for the guys on this team and love playing with them. I will take a step back and look at that. But right now, I just really can’t think of anything but how close we were and this loss.”

All signs point towards Tannehill being the quarterback going forward for the Titans. The Titans got out to a 2-4 start with Marcus Mariota, so the team turned the keys over to Tannehill.

Once Tannehill took over the Titans, the team flipped a switch and finished the regular season with a 9-7 record. He also played a key role in the team beating the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens on the road in the playoffs.

During the regular season, he completed 70.3 percent of his throws for 2,742 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Even though he fell just short of the ultimate goal, the future is bright for him.
