Mike Vrabel knows that Ryan Tannehill has had two strong seasons with the Tennessee Titans after spending the first six years of his career with the Miami Dolphins. Tannehill never really looked comfortable during his Dolphins tenure, with his best season coming in 2014 in which he put an Approximate Value of 14.

Now, in his eighth season, Tannehill is 11-3 in two seasons with the Titans. His head coach, Mike Vrabel, is proud of him picking up the starting mantle 6 games into the season last year and not looking back, per an NBC Sports story by Mike Florio:

“Ryan’s worked very hard,” Titans coach Mike Vrabel told Houston reporters on Thursday in Florio’s story. “He came in as a backup and made the switch. He’s become a very efficient quarterback for us. A very good leader. This team means a lot to him. He’s a captain, obviously. In his command and what we’re trying to do each and every week, gets us in the right plays. He gets the ball out of his hands. He can keep plays alive. He can scramble.

“I think he’s having fun. I think he’s enjoying it. That’s something that he would say is that he’s having fun and took advantage of the opportunity last year when it came to him and certainly has not looked back.”

The Titans are looking strong again in 2020 after making it all the way to the AFC Championship game last season, and Tannehill is a big reason why – leading the NFL in fourth quarter comebacks (2) and game-winning drives (3).
