The Tennessee Titans pulled off a blockbuster trade last weekend, acquiring star wide receiver Julio Jones from the Atlanta Falcons. The Titans sent a 2022 second-round pick and 2023 fourth-round pick for Jones and a 2023 sixth-rounder, and they're also taking on the rest of his salary.

With Tennessee needing to create more cap space to officially make this trade work, quarterback Ryan Tannehill's contract is undergoing a restructure for 2021, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The move will create more than $15 million in cap space. Jones has a base deal of $15.3 million in 2021.

Here are more details:

Tannehill is surely happy to do this since he now has another stud to throw to out wide. With Jones and A.J. Brown together, the Titans have arguably the best wide receiver duo in the NFL. Toss in superstar running back Derrick Henry, and Tennessee has some impressive high-end weapons on the offensive side of the ball.

The 32-year-old Tannehill enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in 2020. He completed 65.5% of his passes for 3,819 yards and a career-high 33 touchdowns while only throwing seven interceptions in 16 games. His 106.5 quarterback ranking was the second-best of his career behind his 117.5 mark in 2019, which came in 12 games.

The Titans went 11-5 last season and made the playoffs, only to lose to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card Round. With Jones now on board, Tennessee will have expectations to make a deep playoff run.
