The Tennessee Titans will be getting Taylor Lewan back in their offense after he served a four-game suspension to begin the season. The Titans offensive tackle believes that he will need to “keep his emotions in check” upon his suspension return.

“Anytime you’re put in a situation like this, you have two choices: you can let it beat you up or you can grow from these types of things. And I believe that I’ve grown from it. I’ve prepared as much as I possibly could for the opportunity coming up Sunday. And now I’m excited to be back. It’s a unique feeling. These guys have been in it. They’ve been in the grind, and for me to come back in after four weeks, kind of fit back in to what they’re trying to do and what these coaches are trying to establish as a culture, keep that moving. There’s been a lot of time for reflection, for sure.”

“Just keep my emotions in check,” Lewan said, “and try to focus on just doing my job.”

Before the season began, it was discovered that the Titans left tackle would serve a four-game suspension due to violating the league's performance-enhancing policy. Lewan, who is known for letting his emotions get the best of him, is just focused on doing his job on Sunday.

In the first month of the season, it is safe to say that Tennessee missed their Pro-Bowl left tackle. Furthermore, while he served his suspension, the Titans allowed 17 sacks on Marcus Mariota (fifth-most in the NFL).

However, Lewan's temporary replacement, Dennis Kelly, fared pretty well in the first four weeks. Conversely, Kelly played in 259 of the team's offensive snaps and allowed just one sack.

Now, with Lewan, the Titans will be able to see their offensive line at full-strength. Therefore, Tennessee should see a vast improvement on their offensive line with Lewan joining free-agent addition Rodger Saffold on the left side.
