The Tennessee Titans selected defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons with the 19th pick and he is already receiving rave reviews with some comparing him to Ndamukong Suh. At times at Mississippi State, Simmons wasn't always on the best team, but his junior year when he was on the field, he usually was the best player on it.

Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports points to the way that Simmons dominated SEC offensive lineman this year to make his case on why he reminds him of what Suh did his senior year at Nebraska.

Suh was a squeaky clean defensive tackle prospect, and he legitimately looked like a fifth-year NFL veteran playing against scout team offensive linemen during his entire stay at Nebraska. Simmons isn't quite as jaw-droppingly strong. He's in the Suh realm though. He physically overpowered most SEC offensive linemen he faced. His arms generate a ridiculous amount of power, and he can counter off his bull rush very well. Simmons is a plus athlete as well, with a large tackle radius. In short, he has the traits to excel as a pass rusher and as a run stopper. On the field, I think there's a legitimate argument for him being as good — if not better — than Quinnen Williams.'

As long as Simmons doesn't do some of the antics like stomping that Suh has done during his career, this is a good comparison, and the Titans are getting a guy who is going to wreak havoc on AFC South offensive lines for many years to come.
