Plenty of NFL players have had performances to forget in Week 1 today, including Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan.

After a long offseason where he managed to fully recover from the torn ACL injury suffered last season, Lewan looked like a shell of his former self in the Titans' season opener against the Arizona Cardinals.

Throughout the game, Cardinals pass-rusher Chandler Jones simply had his way of getting to Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill, as he posted arguably the most prolific performance of his career to date.

Jones finished the contest with six tackles, six quarterback hits, five sacks and four tackles for loss.

With his quick movement off the line of scrimmage coupled with his sheer strength, Jones overpowered Lewan on multiple instances throughout the game.

After the game, Lewan took to Twitter to not only apologize to Titans fans for the performance but also to tip his cap to the astounding showing from Jones.

“Got my ass kicked today, no way around that,” Lewan noted. “I let the team and the fans down. Thank you @chanjones55 (Chandler Jones) for exposing me. It will only force me to get better.”

As mentioned, Lewan just recently recovered from last year's season-ending torn ACL injury, so it is expected to take a while before the team can once again see vintage performances from the three-time Pro Bowler.
