An ideal offseason for the Tennessee Titans would be to sign Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, and Jack Conklin to long-term deals, but only one of them could be lucky enough to receive one. Tennessee's ‘primary objective' this offseason is to sign Tannehill to a multi-year contract, per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Last offseason, the Titans were able to acquire Tannehill from the Miami Dolphins. When Tannehill landed in Tennessee, many expected him to serve as the team's backup to Marcus Mariota.

However, that plan quickly changed following an inconsistent start to the season from Mariota. Then, in Week 7, the Titans benched Mariota in favor of Tannehill. Once Tannehill became the starter, Tennessee's offense looked drastically different.

In his 10 starts in the regular season, Tannehill completed nearly 70 percent of his passes for 2,598 yards, 22 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Above all, the former Dolphins quarterback helped the Titans win seven of their last 10 games and snuck into the postseason.

Despite falling one game short of the Super Bowl, the Titans were pleased with what they saw from Tannehill. Of course, in today's NFL, it is vital to make sure you have a competent starting quarterback. It's safe to say that Tennessee views Tannehill as a franchise quarterback in the NFL.

Besides Tannehill, Henry and Conklin are also impending free agents for the Titans. In all likeliness, there's a decent chance that Tennessee is forced to use their franchise tag on one of the aforementioned players. However, it is vastly important to the Titans to secure Tannehill with the team beyond 2020.
