Apparently, Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season won’t end without former Dallas Cowboys star Terrell Owens getting paid homage to just like what New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas did to Joe Horn. Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard made sure of that on Monday, when he ran to the midfield star at AT&T Stadium to celebrate on it after picking off Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in the end zone.

What Byard did spread like wildfire on social media and immediately reached the attention of Owens, who gave his seal of approval of Byard’s throwback moment.

Prescott was looking to connect to shiny new Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper during that play, but Byard read the play well beforehand and capitalized on Prescott’s overthrown pass to get his second interception of the season.

For those too young to remember, Terrell Owens was the originator of such onfield antic. He rushed towards the Cowboys logo in the middle of the field to celebrate after scoring a touchdown when he was still playing for the San Francisco 49ers.

Byard and the Titans also got the last laugh in the contest, as they scored a 28-14 win over the Cowboys to snap Tennessee’s three-game losing skid.
