The Tennessee Titans were reported to have three players and five personnel members test positive for the coronavirus over the weekend. While it's not officially confirmed who tested positive, the Titans have placed three players on the COVID-19 reserve list, per the team's official site.

On Monday, it was discovered that the Titans had a handful of positive COVID-19 tests after Sunday's game versus the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, Tennessee and Minnesota were informed by the NFL to shut down their facilities until further notice.

Also, with the Titans producing positive test results, they are the first team in the league to have legitimate positive COVID-19 tests. Just a couple of weeks before the season began, there was a false-positive COVID-19 test snafu that occurred for multiple teams.

In response to the reports of three players testing positive, the Titans placed DaQuan Jones, Beau Brinkley, and Tommy Hudson. Jones and Brinkley are part of the active roster while Hudson is on the team's practice squad.

Of course, being placed on the COVID-19 reserve list doesn't necessarily mean that the players tested positive for COVID-19. However, seeing that it was three players placed on the list, one can assume that they were the three players to produce positive results.

As of this moment, the NFL is planning on having the Titans play their Week 4 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. On the other hand, the league could push the game back to Monday, allowing both teams to conduct additional testing.

Before Tennessee's positive COVID-19 tests, the NFL had yet to have a single player test positive. Let's just hope that the Titans aren't just the beginning of a larger issue for the league moving forward.
