It was a disappointing day for Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns. But when one teams falters, the other takes advantage. The Tennessee Titans secured their first win of the season in their Week 1 NFL season opener in Cleveland.

The victory was capped by a a third interception from Mayfield, the 2018 draft's first overall selection, taken away by Malcolm Butler, who ran to the house to complete the pick-six.

Mayfield's 64.1 passer rating in the loss is his second-lowest career mark in his young tenure with the Browns.

The 29-year-old Malcolm Butler, who arrived in Tennessee last season after being released by the New England Patriots, plucked a tipped Mayfield pass out of the air, diving forward on the ground to hold onto the interception. The two-time Super Bowl champion cornerback got back on his feet and ran the 35-plus-yards, finding the end zone with little resistance. A tightrope-walking exercise at the goal line finished the score.

Following the made extra extra point, Butler's pick-six brought the Titans' lead to a 30-point margin, finishing the game 43-13.

It was a relatively shocking win for the Titans in Cleveland. The Browns were 7-8-1 last season and seemed to be on the right path with Mayfield. The team hired its quarterback coach as head coach in the offseason and acquired Odell Beckham Jr., the ex-New York Giants star wideout.

Nevertheless, a 248-yard, three-touchdown performance from Marcus Mariota and a suffocating Titans defense, led in the secondary by Malcolm Butler, stopped Browns fans' hopes in their tracks.
