Todd Howard famously captained the development of several iconic Bethesda games such as Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and many others. His involvement with the new Indiana Jones project drew concern from many Bethesda fans. Currently, Todd Howard's work hinges on the ongoing development of The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield. Bethesda vice president of public relations and marketing Pete Hines weighed in on audience concern on the game director's involvement.
Todd is currently EP on many BGS and other projects, such as the Fallout TV show. His main focus remains Directing the upcoming Starfield and TES6 games, which aren't affected by today's news.

Player concern regarding the new announcement is well-founded given Howard's seemingly-heavy workload. To Clarify, the game director is heading up three games in development and also has a hand in the ongoing development of the online game Fallout 76. Hines further expressed Howard's excitement regarding the newly-announced project.
“Todd is a lifelong Indy fan, and has been trying for over a decade to make this game. He’s beyond excited to work with the award-winning MachineGames team, a perfect fit for Indy.”
Bethesda promised to give more details regarding the game once they have more to share. Unfortunately, the Indiana Jones game joins Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI on the list of games fans will have to wait for. Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda potentially translates to the new game being an Xbox exclusive but there has been no confirmation so far.
