Not only is longtime New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady now a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the future Pro Football Hall of Fame signal caller even delivered a Super Bowl in his first season outside of Foxborough. With Brady ultimately signing with the Buccaneers as an unrestricted free agent after nearly two decades as a member of the heralded Patriots, there were a few different teams that were rumored to be in the mix for his services last offseason.

Although the Buccaneers won the Brady sweepstakes in the end, the former Patriots standout no doubt had several suitors throughput the offseason in 2020-21. While it remains to be seen as to whether or not Brady was ever close to signing elsewhere before landing down in Tampa Bay, the soon-to-be 44-year-old may finally let the world in on the fun just little when his appearance on HBO's “The Shop” airs this Friday.

In the teaser for the upcoming episode, Tom Brady can be seen questioning one of the teams that decided to pass on them while seemingly dragging that franchise's quarterback at the time as well. Even though Brady is flourishing in Tampa Bay as the Buccaneers will enter the 2021-22 campaign as the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Patriots legend surely isn't one to forget a team that crossed him.

QB Derek CarrLas Vegas Raiders

It is no secret that former New England Patriots and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was looking for a major change of scenery upon officially departing Foxborough last offseason. With the Las Vegas Raiders moving to “Sin City” following a lengthy stint in Oakland, it makes sense that the always active AFC West franchise at least checked in on Brady before losing out on him to the Buccaneers.

Not only that, but Raiders franchise quarterback Derek Carr continues to play mediocre football as the team simply can't get over the hump, making Brady's potential comments about the team's situation under center all the more prevalent. As Raiders head coach Jon Gruden continues to stand by Carr with hopes of righting the ship in Las Vegas sooner rather than later, it is no secret that the longtime NFL head coach loves to work with top tier quarterbacks and who better to work with than Brady?

Due to the presence of a middling quarterback like Carr and Gruden's love for working with the best of the best under center, it is definitely possible that Brady was speaking about the Raiders on HBO's latest installment of “The Shop.”

QB Jimmy GaroppoloSan Francisco 49ers

Current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo were once teammates with the New England Patriots. With the latter previously expected to replace the former in New England, Brady simply had too much left in the tank and the Patriots were ultimately forced to trade “Jimmy G” across the country to the 49ers.

Although there was never any ill will between Brady and Garoppolo, it is hard to imagine that the veteran signal caller didn't take too kindly to the Patriots selecting the former second round pick with him still in the mix. With the 49ers just selecting former North Dakota State Bison quarterback Trey Lance in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, “Jimmy G's” days in the Bay Area could be numbered as it wouldn't be all that surprising to learn that San Francisco did their homework on Brady last offseason. On the flip side, it would make a ton of sense for Tom Brady to be none too pleased with the team passing on him in favor of his former successor.

QB Jared GoffLos Angeles Rams / Detroit Lions

With former New England Patriots and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady calling the state of California home for the early portion of his life, it would have made quite a bit of sense for him to head back to where it all started en route to joining the upstart Los Angeles Rams. Only a few seasons removed from a trip to the Super Bowl and a pretty thorough roster that was only in need of a few pieces under the direction of up-and-coming head coach Sean McVay, it is likely that Los Angeles checked in on Brady last offseason before allowing him to get away in favor of the defending Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers.

Not only that but the Rams were obviously not that stable under center as former No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff has since been traded for another former No. 1 overall pick in longtime Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. Thanks to the fact that the Rams aren't too far away, reside in Southern California and obviously needed some help under center, Tom Brady could have very well been referring to Los Angeles upon speaking with HBO.
