Tom Brady has been the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots since a few games into the 2001 season. He's won four Super Bowls, three Super Bowl MVPs, two NFL MVPs, and 11 Pro Bowl appearances. He transformed the Patriots organization from just another franchise into one of the most prestigious in the NFL. In the process, he became one of greatest quarterbacks ever, if not the best.

With all of that in mind, it's difficult to fathom the Patriots possibly trading the face of their team for the last 15 years. But, according to Brady, the time could come when Bill Belichick sends him packing.

Belichick, who essentially serves as the general manager for New England on top of coaching, is known for being ruthless with trades and cuts. The recent trading of Pro Bowler Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns shed light on this reputation once again.

Trading Brady?

Many believe that Brady is the one exception for Belichick, but in Tom's mind, a day could come where he's shipped away.

From Doug Kyed of NESN.com:

“Yeah, absolutely,” Brady said Wednesday. “You can’t be around this long and not realize that the world will keep spinning and the sun will come up tomorrow without you. That’s just the way it goes. I think you enjoy just what you — the experiences that you have and then also understand it just keeps going on. It could happen to anybody. You just have to show up for work, do the best you can do every day and let your performance just speak for yourself.”

Given Brady's MVP-esque play so far this season, we shouldn't worry about Tom being traded in the foreseeable future.
