Tom Brady has played his first 20 seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots, but his 21st season will be with another franchise. After releasing a statement to announce he's leaving New England, Brady hasn't decided where he'll play next yet, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

For months, everyone has made predictions on where the six-time Super Bowl champion will be playing in 2020. However, in a sudden turn of events, a return to the Patriots is now ruled out.

Before the Patriots were eliminated from the sweepstakes for Tom Brady, the Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers all bowed out. Therefore, that leaves a select few teams that could pursue Brady in free agency.i

First, the Los Angeles Chargers could be a team that chooses to extend an offer to Brady. With Philip Rivers headed elsewhere, the Chargers are in need of a viable replacement at quarterback. Also, with the team moving to SoFi Stadium, adding Brady could help sell tickets and win games.

On the other hand, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are another team that has had their sights on Brady. Nearly a week ago, it was reported that the Buccaneers would be ‘all in' on trying to sign Tom Brady in free agency. After a peculiar season with Jameis Winston, Bruce Arians could be looking to add a quarterback that can limit turnovers.

While the Chargers and Buccaneers appear to be front-runners, there could be an unknown team that swoops in and grabs Brady. At the least, teams in the AFC East can rejoice, knowing that Tom Brady won't be back in 2020.
