Placing your money on proven stars is a formula for success in the card market. Names like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James are just some of the top examples that come to mind for basketball fans. For football enthusiasts, one stands above them all – Tom Brady cards.

Football’s GOAT is at it again by proving his dominance, not just on the field, but in the card market. Just recently, a BGS 9 2000 Panini Playoffs Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket signed by Brady fetched a record-breaking $3,107,372 in an auction held by Lelands. This Tom Brady card is now considered the most expensive football card in the world.

The latest auction of this graded Tom Brady rookie card has broken a previous record made at the start of April. During that auction, the same card sold for $2.25 million, making it the most expensive football card back then.

Right after the auction, Lelands stated that there are seven of these Tom Brady cards with a grade of BGS 9. There are no other cards that have a higher grade than these seven, Lelands, added.

Just this year, Brady set a record by becoming the oldest football player to win the Super Bowl. He led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win the title over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. This victory gave the 43-year old veteran his seventh Super Bowl title in 21 years.

Brady’s card value is expected to become stronger as he continues his career in the NFL. And with his status as the sports’ GOAT, collectors can sleep well knowing their investment in Brady will serve them well down the road.
