San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker returned to action on Monday when his team faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks. However, he might go back to sitting out games, but this time for an extended period, after he sustained a left knee contusion.

The 34-year-old French international collided his knee with Matthew Dellavedova while driving to the basket and hobbled off the court.

Despite what the eye test says, and considering the Spurs' penchant for resting players, surprising development came out from their camp.

“It's not as bad as it was before,” coach Gregg Popovich said. “He's probably 50-50 for Thursday. I would imagine after Thursday he'll be OK.”

But if Parker indeed misses time, Patty Mills is expected to start in his place.
