In less than two days, former Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Tony Romo was supposed to finally make his debut in the broadcast booth with CBS Sports for Friday's preseason action between the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs. Instead, his first game in the booth has been delayed.

Romo recently told Barry Horn of SportsDay that he has built up both jitters and excitement for his next career venture, whenever it begins.

“I'm anxious and excited,” Romo said about his national debut. “It's like my first start in the NFL. I want to see if I'm good enough.”

The 37-year-old is set to take the booth alongside Jim Nance and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson for his first of several games on the slate. Romo will be thrown right into the mix without any true experience on the job aside from the rehearsals he has been going through with Nance over the last few weeks, with the most recent coming at the Los Angeles Rams and Oakland Raiders game last Saturday.

CBS has already announced the first four weeks of his schedule for the season, with the season-opener being a matchup between the Raiders and Tennesse Titans. That will be followed by the New England Patriots taking on the New Orleans Saints in Week 2, the Cincinnati Bengals battling with the Green Bay Packers in Week 3, and the Week 4 matchup between the Raiders and Denver Broncos.
