Football season is just around the corner, and it's time to get ready for an NFL fantasy football draft. The tight end position is often a tough choice for fantasy owners to make, as it's hard to determine when to draft them. There are multiple tiers of tight ends, and each fantasy draft has them go in different spots.

With that said, here are the top 10 fantasy football tight ends in 2021, ranked.

NFL Top Fantasy Football tight ends:

10. Robert Tonyan

One of the tight-end successes last year was Robert Tonyan from the Green Bay Packers. He emerged as a redzone monster-catching with 11 touchdowns, which was the most for all tight ends. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers clearly trusts him, and he should be a viable option at tight end.

He likely won't repeat the same production, as he finished as the 4th fantasy tight end last year. Tonyan should be around the 10th best fantasy tight end but could be a good pick late.

9. Noah Fant

A potential breakout candidate is Denver Broncos tight end, Noah Fant. Last season, he had 62 receptions for 673 yards and only 3 touchdowns. That being said, you may be thinking, why is Fant ranked above Tonyan? Well, Fant could be a boom or bust player, with the potential to breakout, Tonyan, on the other hand, has the higher floor but a lower ceiling.

If you miss out on a top tight end, Fant could be a great pick later in the draft.

8. Logan Thomas

Logan Thomas is an underrated fantasy tight end with a solid floor. Thomas plays for the Washington Football Team and got a ton of targets last season. Last season, Thomas had 72 receptions for 670 yards and 6 touchdowns.

While Thomas isn't a big name, he is one of the safest tight ends to select in the draft. Look for Thomas to have another productive fantasy season.

7. Dallas Goedert

Dallas Goedert should have an emergence this season with Zach Ertz declining and an uncertain future. Goedert didn't have a great 2020 campaign but should be the feature tight end in the Philadelphia Eagles offense. Last season, Goedert had 46 receptions for 524 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Goedert is another solid option to select later in the draft if you miss out on a top tight end.

6. Kyle Pitts

Kyle Pitts is one of the most hyped tight ends coming out of the draft ever. The Atlanta Falcons drafted Pitts with the 4th pick in the draft, and he is bound to be an elite player. Pitts may be a rookie, but his talent is undeniable. In college last season, Pitts had 43 receptions for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Pitts has the rare combination of great size, speed, and catching ability. Pitts' floor is solid and he has a chance to be a top 5 fantasy tight end this season.

5. T.J. Hockenson

Another emerging fantasy tight end is T.J. Hockenson. He burst onto the fantasy season last year with a very productive season. Last season, Hockenson caught 67 passes for 723 yards and 6 touchdowns. Hockenson is bound to have another great season and get a ton of targets.

They lost Marvin Jones Jr. and Kenny Golladay in free agents, which leaves more targets for Hockenson. He should be a top 5 tight end once again.

4. Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews had a down season fantasy-wise for him but was still in the upper echelon of fantasy tight ends. Andrews' numbers are primed to go up next season in a revitalized Baltimore Ravens offense. They added weapons at receiver in the offseason, which should free up Andrews more.

Look for Andrews to get back to the production he was putting up in 2019.

3. George Kittle

George Kittle, when healthy, is one of the best tight ends in football. He struggled with health last season, resulting in low numbers. In his last healthy season, Kittle had 85 receptions for 1,053 yards and 5 touchdowns. He is an all-around tight end that can do everything at a high level, including blocking.

Kittle is an elite player and should have a bounce-back healthy season.

2. Darren Waller

Another one of the best tight ends in the league is Darren Waller. Waller came in strong last season, finishing as the 2nd ranked fantasy tight end. He is the top target for the Las Vegas Raiders, resulting in a lot of fantasy production. Last season, Waller had 107 receptions for 1,196 yards and 9 touchdowns.

If you can get Waller in the draft, you will not regret it.

Top fantasy football tight ends leader:

1. Travis Kelce

That leaves the clear number one fantasy tight end, Travis Kelce. Kelce has been the top fantasy tight end for years, due to his elite play each year. Last season, Kelce had 105 receptions for 1,416 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is the definition of consistent and should be the first tight end to go off the board.

If you want Kelce, you'll have to select him early, but he is well worth the selection.

It's an exciting time for fantasy owners as the season is almost underway. If you want your fantasy team to be good, make sure to look at these tight ends in your draft.
