The 2020 NBA Draft is fast approaching, and talented prospects from all around the globe are anxious to find out where they'll be playing in the coming season. In this piece, we'll take a look at five of the top-rated wing players in the class.

In today's NBA, wing players need to be a versatile sort. They're often asked to guard the best player from the opposing side, while also providing an offensive lift on the other end of the floor. Some of the game's greatest players were forwards, including Julius Erving, Scottie Pippen, LeBron James and Larry Bird. The prospects in this class, however, are at the beginning of their paths to greatness.

NBA teams are are already deep into their evaluation processes, but there is still not a clear consensus on who should be taken No. 1 overall. Will it be LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards or Killian Hayes?

Without further adieu, our top-five wing players for the 2020 NBA Draft:

5. Saddiq Bey

At 6-foot-8 and 216 pounds, Villanova sophomore Saddiq Bey has the length required to guard multiple positions. The 21-year-old has a 6-foot-10 wingspan, and he's viewed as one of the more versatile wing players in this class. Furthermore, he has a clean stroke from the perimeter — a trait that most teams seek in today's NBA.

In his 31 appearances with the Wildcats last season, Bey racked up averages of 16.1 points on 41.7 percent shooting from the field (45.1 percent from beyond the arc), 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and just under one steal (0.8) in 33.9 minutes per outing.

In his recent mock 2020 NBA Draft for The Ringer, Kevin O'Connor compared Bey's game to those of DeMarre Carroll, Tobias Harris and Jae Crowder. To many, Bey is one of the more underrated prospects in this draft.

4. Patrick Williams

Williams is listed at 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds, giving him the size needed to compete at the NBA level. The 18-year-old freshman from Florida State is crafty on offense, often finding ways to create his own shot. However, he's also big enough to set solid screens and send back plenty of shots on the defensive end. All things considered, he's a player that could fill a variety of roles.

In 29 outings with FSU, Williams averaged 9.2 points on 45.9 percent shooting from the field (32.0 percent from beyond the arc), 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist.

As a result of his play with the Seminoles, Williams earned ACC Sixth Man of the Year honors, and he was named to the conference's All-Freshman Team.

3. Devin Vassell

Vassell is another talented prospect from Florida State. To many experts and analysts, the 19-year-old sophomore is one of the best defensive options in this 2020 NBA Draft class.

Vassell is a solid offensive weapon, but he's also a force to be reckoned with on the defensive end of the court. He led Florida State in scoring (12.7 points per game) and rebounding (5.1 per game). Beyond those impressive marks, he was second on the team in blocks (29), assists (49) and steals (42).

With a ton of upside, Vassell is a player to keep an eye on in the future.

2. Isaac Okoro

Coming in at No. 2 on our list of the top wings in this year's draft class is 19-year-old Auburn freshman Isaac Okoro.

At 6-6 and 225 pounds, Okoro is a great defender, but some analysts would like to see him improve his shot from the perimeter. In 28 outings with the Tigers, the Atlanta native turned in averages of 12.9 points on 51.4 percent shooting (28.6 percent from downtown), 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists. It's also worth noting that he recorded just under one block and steal per game.

Following Auburn's regular season, Okoro was named to the All-SEC Second Team, the SEC All-Freshman Team and the SEC All-Defensive Team by the league's coaches.

All things considered, Okoro would be a solid acquisition for most teams. He's a great finisher at the rim, where he can deliver with either hand. He's also smart with the ball, always looking to avoid bad shots.

1. Deni Avdija

Not only is Deni Avdija viewed as the top international prospect in 2020 NBA Draft class, he's also our No. 1 wing player.

Though he's listed as a forward, Avdija plays more like a guard. He's extremely intelligent on the court, rarely making an ill-advised decision. And at 6-foot-9, he'll be able to stand against some of the taller wings in the NBA.

Avdija likes to push the ball up the floor in transition, but his best trait may be his pick-and-roll game. He's a strong finisher at the hoop, capable of knocking down shots with either hand. However, some scouts say that he could use a bit more lateral quickness on defense.

Avdija earned international recognition while playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Basketball Premier League and the EuroLeague. Impressively, he led the team to three Israeli League championships.

For the 2019-20 campaign of Israeli League play, the versatile wing averaged 13.5 points on 55.0 percent shooting (38.7 percent from beyond the arc), 6.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and just under one block (0.9) per game.

In recognition of his outstanding play, Avdija was named the MVP of the Israeli League. The 19-year-old became the youngest player ever to ever take home the award, and he was also named the “Israeli Player of the Year.”

For now, we'll have to wait and see if this order holds true. The 2020 NBA Draft is set to take place at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, November 18, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
