Tottenham Hotspur are set to travel to Manchester for a clash at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Saturday, in what will be a must-win affair for both sides as they look to better position themselves for Champions League qualification next season. We’re going to dive into some bold predictions for the Premier League showdown.

Tottenham enter the game after dismantling Everton in their recent fixture. Spurs won 5-0 against the Merseyside club, with goals coming from Harry Kane, Heung Min Son, Sergio Reguilon, and an own goal from Everton center-back Michael Keane. The club will look to pick up where it left off last time out and keep the goals flowing against a porous Manchester United back-line. Kane is in top form right now, and he’ll look to continue his impressive play with a strong outing against the Premier League giants.

Manchester United enter play on the back of a humbling defeat at the hands of rival Manchester City, who easily dismantled them 4-1 on Sunday, March 6. The whole club will be keen to bounce back from what was a disappointing loss against the soon-to-be league champions. Cristiano Ronaldo was sidelined for the clash, but it’s expected he’ll be available to play against Tottenham, though he’s in some of the worst form of his professional career.

With all that in mind, here are three bold predictions for Tottenham in their Premier League clash against Manchester United.

Tottenham: 3 bold predictions for clash vs Manchester United

3. Harry Kane scores 2 goals

With Kane playing the way he has been of late, it feels near certain that he will find the back of the net against the lackluster Manchester United defense. But the English talisman won’t be satisfied with just one goal. Instead, we’re expecting Kane to look for the back of the net at any opportunity he gets, and with the power and accuracy the Tottenham star possesses, he could certainly wind up with a brace, even at a big stage like Old Trafford.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world when playing at his best, and considering he’s netted 5 goals in his last 4 Premier League games, it’s safe to say that he’s rediscovered the form that was lacking during the start of the season. With United’s defense having been particularly mistake-prone of late, Kane should be able to capitalize.

2. Dejan Kulusevski scores and assists

The addition of Dejan Kulusevski has been a tremendous boost for Spurs in the attacking third. He’s fit in well alongside Harry Kane and Heung Son Min up front, and he should continue to play well against Manchester United on Saturday. With Kane and Son available for him to play passes into, Kulusevski will soon become an assist machine during his Spurs tenure. We’re expecting the former Juventus attacker to find the score sheet with an assist as well as a goal in the game against the Red Devils, and continue impressing Spurs supporters early on in his Tottenham career.

Kulusevski was the main haul of Tottenham’s winter transfer haul, and he’s certainly made up for the team’s overall lack of spending. Fans have already grown fond of the Swedish international and he will repay their admiration with a strong outing.

1. Spurs keep a clean sheet and take down Manchester United

Tottenham has kept a clean sheet in two of its last three games, with the exception being an extra time loss to Middlesbrough (an embarrassing defeat for Antonio Conte’s side). Their impressive defensive performacnes have been spearheaded by the play of Cristian Romero, who is coming into his own ater dealing with injuries at the start of the season. With Hugo Lloris remaining effective been the posts,

Tottenham shouldn’t have too much trouble keeping Manchester United off the goal sheet, especially considering Ronaldo’s struggles of late. Spurs could deal a crippling blow to Manchester on Saturday, and that will all start with the work from their back-line.
